Guest guest
Hi Bobby, I take Allegra and Clarinex with the Lexapro and all seems fine. I didn't ask my Doc....usually when you get a prescription filled, it will say what meds to avoid while on the med. I have only been on lexapro for a few weeks and I have a few questions. 1. my allergies are really bad, is it okay to take allegra with lexapro? I have a call into my doc to ask, but I thought I would see if anyone here is taking lexapro and allegra. 2. is it normal to have difficulties sexual climaxing on lexapro? 3. is it normal ot gain weight with lexapro? I realize the 2nd and 3rd question may vary among people, so I guess I am just wondering what your experiences have been. Thanks, Bobby
Guest guest
2. is it normal to have difficulties sexual climaxing on lexapro? Yes. My doctor put me on Wellbutrin(75mg/twice a day) to go along with the Lexapro(20mg/once a day) to help with that side effect. I only started taking the Wellbutrin on Sunday, so I haven't seen an improvement yet. Hopefully soon though. 3. is it normal to gain weight with lexapro? I've been noticing that I am losing weight, so I don't know.

Whenever I change meds I first run the whole set thru the medication interaction checker on www.drugstore.com I also ask my doc. drugstore.com has caught things she missed. Guest guest
I have been on Lexapro since the beginning of August for OCD, so I have also had to take a couple of augmenting drugs with it. But, the Lexapro, even when I wasn't taking the other drugs, makes it really difficult to climax - it's like I have to try extra hard and go extra long, and then the pressure of it all makes me tear up (?!). It's very strange. I have had like a 5 pound weight gain lately, but could be just because I'm feeling better. Still, 5 pounds is crappy because I'm already overweight. Allergies - I've taken Claritin several times with Lexapro, with no side effects. That's been my experience with all of the questions you've asked. Hope it helps! > I have only been on lexapro for a few weeks and I have a few > questions. > > 1. my allergies are really bad, is it okay to take allegra with > lexapro?
