, I took Lexapro 20 mg for 8 months while on LDN. I took them both at bedtime. Never had any issues. I've actually been off the Lexapro for 2 months now. Once I started LDN, I no longer needed the Lexapro !! :) Maybe it will be that way for you also.JanetRRMS 1994LDN May '07 <firewifelopez@...> wrote: Hi all,Does anyone take Lexapro @ bedtime with the LDN?? I've tried the DLPA without much success, and I seem to get sleepy/dizzy if I take the

Lexapro during the day. The pharmacist (@ CVS) said it was OK to take at bedtime, but I don't want it to interfere with the LDN. Thanks, Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.

Lexapro and Lexatin are different drugs; according to wiki:

Bromazepam (marketed under brand names Calmepam, Compendium,

Creosedin, Durazanil, Lectopam, Lexaurin, Lexilium, Lexomil, Lexotan,

Lexotanil, Normoc, Novepam, Somalium, Lexatin)[1] is a drug which is a

benzodiazepine derivative. It has sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic and

skeletal muscle relaxant properties.

Escitalopram (Lexapro by Forest Laboratories in the United States and

elsewhere by Lundbeck as Cipralex, Sipralexa and Seroplex)[1] is an

antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)

class. It is approved for the treatment of major depressive disorder

and generalized anxiety disorder; other indications include social

anxiety disorder, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Escitalopram is the S-stereoisomer (enantiomer) of the earlier

Lundbeck drug citalopram (Celexa), hence the name escitalopram.

Escitalopram is noted for its high selectivity of serotonin reuptake

inhibition and, as a result has fewer side effects not related to its

serotonergic activity.

The only side effect I had was sleepiness, so I take mine before bed.

Personally, I love it - it has really helped me.

I am trying Lexapro again for the second time. I tried it a couple of

months ago and only took it for 3 days. I had a lot of nausea so the

doc changed me to Cymbalta.... that was worse. He has encouraged me to

try the Lexapro again and give it a couple of weeks. He says the

symptoms go away. Is this true? Please give me some feedback.

I have been on Lex about 2 years now. First time I tried it my blood pressure

went up and I had headaches. I tried again a week later and it still went up a

little but only for a week or so. Same with the headaches.

I was on Lexapro for about two years and it was a life saver for me. I

had no adverse reactions to it. I took it for depression and social

anxiety. It seriously was amazing until its effects began to dwindle. I

just switched from Lexapro to Pristiq two weeks ago. If Lexapro had

continued to work for me I'd still be on it. I say give it a try!

Most people experience dreams on these kind of drugs. Some have good dreams and

others...well not so much. If it really bothers you or doesn't get better with

time talk to your doctor.

I heard there are " SSRI " dreams....

I have always had vivid unhappy crazy

dreams so you can't go by me.

I was off Lex for about 3 months.

Had HORRIBLE shoulder pain etc.

numbness in hands during sleep...

I have been back on them (at my

common sense and dr's advice) starting

back at 10 (I was at 20)...taking them

at night and guess what?

No shoulder pains, no numbness...

I thought I felt " OK " not being onthem

but now I'm back I realize I would trade

a bit of fuzziness mentally (hell, I have

that anyhow) for a better outlook and

omg none of those pains!

However, it is disturbing to me how

much these drugs can affect your

whole life!!!!!

This is probably one of the better side effects. I have very vivid

dreams, nothing bad (sometimes fights) but mostly great dreams. like

flying, seeing old relatives etc. I was on lex for a year till i

switched to zoloft. when i wake up ,I remember mostly everything i

dreamt . its amazing
