Guest guest
Kay, My son did this a lot. I can remember him standing on his head in the crib around 18 months and on well past age 3. Occasionally at age 5 1/2 we still see this, but it is rare. Our OT showed us how to do joint compressions even on his head. Jumping on the trampoline gives the same kind of proprioceptive (sp?) input that they seek when they do this. It seemed to help to let him jump. Guest guest
Kay Connor did this endlessly. It generally meant his HHV6 was up. He still does on occasion when he is off his diet like last night. In laws!!! Argh! He likes it when I lift him with my leg where he is upside down for a few seconds (without or without pressure on the tummy) & also likes to climb on things like crib & invert himself. This happens a few times in the day. Has anyone seen anything like this? It looks like a sensory seeking behavior and am trying to see if there are other OT type things that can help. Thanks, Kay
