Guest guest
Hi, Around 6 months ago I was looking into protocol. I started to fill out the paperwork . We did all the labs . Then I saw my son's peds doctor and she gave me a copy of the initial lab results. I look over at them and didn't see much out of the ordinary . Herpes 6IgG 1:40 normal is less than 1:10 . Rubella IgG 104.5 range is less than 10 then antibody is not detected. LDL 137 range is 0-100. Everything else is in normal range . So after looking at this I was discourage thinking that my son's immune system is fine. What could do to help ? Anyone else have great initial labs and still followed the protocol with positive changes? My son rarely gets sick . He had 4 to 5 ear infections when he was 12 months to 2 yrs old. would have low grade fevers around that time. He has never had a fever in 8 yrs . So I'm confused on what to do. We did a brain spect scan and it shows hypoperfusion in the left temperol lobe and some hot spots too. He is positive to the anne connely test for IGM which indicates brain inflammation. He had a normal 24 EEg and Normal MRI. Kathy
Guest guest
Hi, My son's initial lab results were even less interesting. Our local pediatrician said that they did not indicate that anything was wrong. Dr. Goldberg however said that there was a little here and there to indicate a likely problem. He has a keen sense for what he is looking for. You may find it interesting to know that once my son started the antiviral his titer went from 1:10 (which as you mentioned is borderline normal) to the 900s. The antiviral awakened my son's body so that it began to make the antibody to fight the virus. Very interesting. I'd also like to suggest that not having a fever for so long, though it seems like a very healthy thing, is not a normal immune system response. I would recommend filling out that paperwork and letting Dr. Goldberg look at the tests to determine whether your son is a good candidate or not. I know of a family that he turned away because lab work did not indicate that he could help them. He is not going to dishonestly tell you that he can help to get your business. ly, he's much too busy to take on patients that he can't help. Best of luck in these hard decisions April On Wed, Sep 29, 2010 at 1:50 PM, Dean <dvsdean@...> wrote: > > > Hi, > > Around 6 months ago I was looking into protocol.
