Guest guest
Hi MalindaI will be different and chime in to let him get the most out of feeling the best right now.Tanzania is a relatively safe country,( Except staying away from government facilities where protests happen is crucial) and while I would agree to something for malaria, doxycycline isnt ,and it could stir up lyme symptoms again.I would personally have him take a 2 or 3 ounce bottle of MMS marked water purification drops. He can either get vinegar or lemons there. The biggest thing you might consider is that there is only field clinics in Tanzania and your best bet as to medical care will be in Nairobi , Kenya . My daughter just spent the last year in Tanzania and has traveled extensively around the world. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If he becomes unwell. he can always fly home.MMS kills malaria quickly and usually three doses of MMS or Pharmaceutical medication kills it.Sida acuta is another herb that he can carry with him to fight malaria also or artemesia..Wear mosquito netting , definitely provide him with mosquito netting to cover his sleeping bag /tent use repellant on clothing.Boiling water is pretty crucial. Rest when he knows he needs it even if others are out doing things. The important thing is allowing him to know the risks and be prepared .Otherwise I say , let him have fun while he is able tojan OT: MMS and traveling Posted by: "malindabross" malindabross@... malindabross Date: Tue Jun 5, 2012 4:04 am ((PDT))Hello everyone! My son who has been fighting lyme since he was 11 in 2001 has been symptom-free for ll months now! Although we are extremely happy about that, we are realists and have been around long enough to know how this ugly disease can just pop his ugly head back up at just anytime it pleases. However, in the meantime, my son is enjoying life to it's fullest! =) He has recently consented to go on church missions trip to Tanzania! This is real Tanzania......sleeping on the ground with the mamba snakes, washing his clothes in the river, drinking water that they draw from the river (they do have some sort of purification system), outhouses are a convenience, transportation is walking and biking. Yea, mom is quite a mess! =( But at the same time I am happy to see him able to do something he has really longed to do. It is so "him". Right now he is trying to decide what vaccinations and drugs he will take for the trip. Nothing is required but there is a list that is strongly recommended...typhoid, Hep A, Polio, Mumps, Cholera. They also supply doxycycline to prevent malaria. He doesn't like the idea of putting all this stuff into him. What if it stirs something up he really doesn't want stirred up. =( We were wondering if anyone out there has traveled to a third world country and has taken only MMS.Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God bless, Malinda "Im not trying to counsel any of you to do anything really special, except to dare to think, and to dare to go with the truth ,and to dare to love completely." -R.
