Guest guest
This is my point about boiling all water regardless of using other water treatment , although sodium chlorite is effective on most organisms .My daughter got lazy once ,with water purification and was sick for a couple of weeks, but with due attention it is not a problem.Boiling water for ten minutes kills anything in the water. Adding to that whatever water purification drops or ultraviolet light , will then enhance its purity. It really should not be a concern if you speak with the leaders of the team and explain your concerns and find out what the plan is for water treatment and advise them to also boil any water no matter what other form of treatment they plan on using. My daughter lived on the side of a mountain in Tanzania for most of the last year and spent time traveling around Africa and asia before then and had also spent a semester in Tanzania while in college. Its a beautiful country and well worth the trip, getting to know local culture learning some of the local language and doing whatever missionary work the kids are doing.jan. Re: OT: MMS and traveling Posted by: "musiclady" sueblanton@... sueblanton Date: Tue Jun 5, 2012 9:52 pm ((PDT))Hi Malinda,I have to agree with Lena. My husband went overseas and traveled throughout Asia for 6 months. He picked up some parasite from bad water and lost about 50 pounds and landed in the hospital. This was years ago when he was in his twenties. Luckily, he recovered but he also never had Lyme. I am one of the Lymies who begins to think I am well because I can go for a year with no symptoms and then suddenly I am having arthritis symptoms again. This spring it was all brought on by a round of Borrelia Homeopathics which I think stirred up some dormant Lyme. I don't think you can ever totally recover 100% from this disease and when you are at a place that you are feeling better, you can never let your guard down and must be vigilant about nutrition and avoiding situations such as vaccines that can lower the immune system to the point that Lyme can take over again. As much as it sounds like your son is commited to this trip, I would at least provide him with the information about the potential to relapse if he isn't careful.
