Ot another Lyme mis diagnosis

Well, my friend with the two boys who were recently bitten, took one of them to

the ER today after his fever spiked, pain in his spine and severe headache.

They gave him Tylenol, assessed the physical condition and tried to dig out the

head remains of one of the ticks that was still embedded.

So, they did NO Lyme test at all and told her it was not Lyme. No

antibiotics...nothing but 4 hours in the ER.

I fear she is only at the beginning of the Lyme journey. She could not get her

child into their pediatrician because he is now considered a new patient. He

was last seen 3 years ago(he was a very healthy child). So, she has to wait

till January until he can be seen by this doc. Our health system really needs

help.
