Hi CL,

I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia, probably about 30 years before I was finally

diagnosed with LD (so probably around 1970 or so). At that time i did a lot of

reading, and still pay attention when I see anything in writing about it. It is

definitely a symptom of stress and quite likely is related to adrenal

exhaustion.

No one ever said I was pre-diabetic or mentioned the A1c test or a blood glucose

meter, so I know nothing about those. But I do know how to control it with

diet, and i take chromium, but not as much as you do. I also use a homeopathic

for adrenal support. I find that the biggest help for me is B-vitamins

(including daily methtyl-B-12 self-injection) and DMG (Di-methyl-glycine) under

the tongue several times a day. I believe the methyl problem, which is

genetically caused, was discussed several weeks ago in this forum.

Eating lots of fiber, protein, and healthy oils, avoiding refined carbs, and

getting plenty of exercise (as you are able) are vital in avoiding blood-sugar

symptoms.

I'm sorry I can't answer your questions. But I believe if you take care of

yourself the way you say you are, that it is unlikely that you will develop

diabetes.

I do remember that when I cut out sugar and caffeine the withdrawal symptoms

were very, very difficult for several months. I hope you are not as addicted as

I was!

Does anyone have issues with blood sugar?I have been symptomatic and have come uppre-diabetes on the A1c test. I don't know ifmy adrenals (or something else) is causing this, but I need to address it further. My first BIGGEST question is how to decideon a blood glucouse meter covered by Medicareand have doctor write scrip for it? There are so manymeters, and I'm not sure whatthe process is for acquiring. I want one that is small, accurate and cantest on arm and fingers both. Also, I take Chromium Picolonate 200 mcg at each meal, and have been taking Glucommanan 500 mg I think, onceper day. Any input on how to take the Glucomannan,at same time as Chromium Pico, how much, etc?I am doing everything I know how to do nutritionally.I want to nip this in the bud and hopefully, prevent fullblown diabetes.Would appreciate input, especially on meter acquisitionwith

Medicare. Please email me OFFLIST to make sure I get it at:mailto:cronelesbo%40yahoo.comThanks!CL
