Guest guest
Yes, I do this a lot. I also put epsom salts in the extremely hot water to make it stay hotter longer. This really helps my pain while I'm in. It doesn't last long enough though, but sure does feel good. Terry
Guest guest
Hey all!! Seasons greetings (first of all) and I wanted to chime in here on this topic. I have fibromyalgia and RSD in case there are some that don't know me here. I have not been able to take a HOT shower or bath in over a year. My showers are luke warm at best as the damage involves my lower extremities and hip/butt/low back. Hot water is just not an option for me, no matter what kind of meds I have for pain. I miss those hot showers for just plain old sore muscles (of which I have plenty!). So, to those of you that read this topic and can not take hot showers or baths (or be in a hot tub), I can relate to the envy of it! It never ceases to amaze me how one person can have so many diseases and conditions all at once. Seems there are many of us here in that same boat. I just wish that one treatment didn't so often defeat the other. Wishing you all a wonderful, happy, comfortable holiday Season, & quot;Smiling is the first step towards laughing, which happens to be the best step towards healing...unless you have just had abdominal surgery! & quot; ~Tammy
Guest guest
, I start almost everyday like that LOL I even turned up our hot water tank a couple notches to be able to get the tub water even hotter. In the early morning before the rest of the house is up and moving I will fill the tub while making the days 1st pot of coffee. After the coffee's brewed I grab my smokes, an ashtray and a large mug and hop in. I'll usually lay in there, try to meditate, they claim it helps with pain -- it hasn't helped yet. When the water cools I drain about half and refill it again as hot as I can stand it. I usually kill about a half hour in there and on days/ nights of great pain I'll spend as long as an hour there soaking. I found it definitely helps loosen me up and relaxes me. I then get out and do about 7 minutes of stretches.
Guest guest
LOL My husband did that too but we leave it up there don't turn it up everytime I do that. There are 4 of us and if the waterheater isnt up all the way we run out of hot water. One of the twins loves taking a shower for like an hour and with the water heater up we never run out of hot waters. Its funny thought he was the only one doing that.
