Guest guest
You aren't her at all. You are a special person who has outgrown, outlasted and will outlive your mothers negative legacy. I'm reading toxic parents and I did an exercise last night that made me realize my mother is like a human cancer tumor, walking around with her defense mechanisms reproducing out of control to her detriment. She even looked like a tumor, asymetrically round, constantly changing in size and shape, and red faced. Even the shape of her face would change depending on her meds, prednizone swelled it up to the size of the moon. It is hard for me today knowing that I am the child of malignancy - its hard not to associate yourself with your parents and to have your identity relate to them. I guess I'm saying it's hard not to see myself as a malignant growth. > > Thanks...
