The HIV information was provided by on the list. Maybe she can

provide more info on the data. My thought is that if XMRV is a causal agent

in autism and cfs, then we could be closer to a treatment for autism since

so much work has been done with HIV. I am tired of waiting for answers. I

just left a meeting with our immunologist (Dr. Cyr, Burlington ON)

during which he slammed his hands on the desk and yelled " I do not want to

discuss autism!! " I guess I pushed a little (he he). He won't discuss it

because he doesn't have a clue about autism (or CFS for that matter). This

is what he told me. It is very sad. So much useful research and

information is emerging but it does not seem to be getting to the people who

know what to do with it. The key here, I think, is that Dr.'s &

Goldberg are trained to practice medicine and they are treated a medical

disorder.not symptoms. My next target is McMaster Children's Hospital in

Hamilton, Ontario (they are just a hop, skip & jump away) and the University

of Alberta. I revise the poster a little, depending on who I am sending it

I'm curious to know more about the comparisons between hiv+ children and

autism children.

Do you have any data you can provide, or is it more anecdotal at this point?

Good letter, dr scherer is a good guy. A relationship with him would be a

very good thing...

I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this and my previous message.

I am ill and I am the mother of two very sick little boys, one diagnosed

severely autistic and the other suffering with chronic illness since birth.

Immune dysfunction related illness is running RAMPANT in my maternal family:

Autism has now reached EPIDEMIC proportions. Autism is a MEDICAL DISORDER,

not developmental, not genetic, and not vaccine damage. You cannot have a

genetic or developmental epidemic - it's scientifically IMPOSSIBLE. A

vaccination can trigger an immune response but mercury and vaccines DO NOT

CAUSE AUTISM. If a body is healthy, it will dump all its metals on its own.

CNN has hopefully laid the vaccine debate to rest and children and their

families who are suffering need to speak up NOW! We need to focus our

attention on the REAL CAUSE OF AUTISM.

Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD/ADD-Learning Disabilities, Immune

that XMRV has " almost certainly entered the U.S. blood supply system " .

Two current studies are underway at the University of Alberta - one by Dr.

Mason, and the other by Dr. Lorne Tyrell and Dr. Houghton

(Co-discoverer of Hepatitis C virus). Dr. Mason's study is about trialling

antiretrovirals, finding causation, transmission, and prevalence. The study

by Tyrell and Houghton is to show cause. In a recent talk, Dr. Tyrell

states that " I have suspected that CFS is a communicable viral disease since

the Incline Village Outbreak at the beginning of my career, and I am

confident that we are closing in fast, and excluding viral pathogenesis at

this point would be utter foolishness. "

Please help us draw global attention to this VERY SIGNIFICANT piece of the

autism puzzle. We need to get children, and their families all over the

world, the help and medical care they so desperately need. Time is running
