Guest guest
since we started valtrex mid Dec, still on low dose, ds has been better in some areas (conversation, focus etc), and same or worse in others, especially impulse control when tired. Definitely much more tiredness than before, even though he is sleeping longer nowdays he is still complaining more ... he has always been a 'tired type' and could sleep long hours and complain during the day, but MUCH more so now. Just in case it might be 'yeast related' we will try asking doc for some diflucan next week ... here is something interesting I just came across: Common side effects of Valtrex in adults include headache, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, and dizziness. Side effects in HIV-infected adults include headache, tiredness, and rash. These side effects usually are mild and do not cause patients to stop taking Valtrex. http://www.drugs.com/pro/valtrex.html how is that for the valtrex rash so many ASD kids get !!! we know the rash does not occur in 'normal' population, in those who take valtrex for genital herpes etc. I had no clue it was common in HIV.
