Guest guest
Thanks Marcia, I will check into that. Perhaps it is not available in Canada as my pharmacist always substitutes generic brands when available. If I can save some $$$, then you can bet I will be investigating this more thoroughly! Thanks for the tip. Freeman is Canadian so perhaps she can chime in on whether the Valtrex she recently started her son on is blue or not???? Guest guest
It's blue but I run it under the tap until the dye is removed. Is this enough or should I try the generic brand? What is the generic version called? Thank you! Also, could someone give a definite on whether or not probiotics are allowed via Dr. G's approach (and what type)? Is a low IgA common? Does this cause long term damage to gut and does it need specialized medicine to heal? Thanks! Guest guest
I bought Brand name Valtrex (made by GSK) in Asia without blue coating. It's about US$3.10/pill (500 mg) Insurance probably won't cover it . Just to share the information that Brand name without blue dye is available in Asia. ________________________________ From: Lori <lbharris@...> Sent: Fri, February 18, 2011 7:13:13 AM Subject: RE: Re: Dr. G's book - Valtrex Thanks Marcia, I will check into that. Guest guest
True - we bought it for years when we lived in Singapore. Its made by GSK in Australia or UK - same dose but white with blue " Valtrex " logo. Do not understand why the US makes that horrible blue colour one! _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Lucy Town Sent: Friday, February 18, 2011 1:31 PM Subject: Re: Re: Dr. G's book - Valtrex I bought Brand name Valtrex (made by GSK) in Asia without blue coating. Guest guest
I don't believe low IgA is common but definitely indicates immune dysfunction. My son's IgA level was extremely low (almost non-existent) 5 months ago. Since beginning the diet and kyodophilus his IgA has normalized. We still have a few diet infractions so I believe the kyodophilus played a big part in this. I would consider starting probiotics immediately. Best wishes, . _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of elaine Sent: February 20, 2011 10:53 AM Subject: Re: Re: Dr. G's book - Valtrex dr. g recommended kyodophilus to us and we've been using it for years.
