Guest guest
Has Brene' Brown ever been discussed on here? I wondered if any of you knew of her work on vulnerability and shame? I was just recently sent a clip of a short talk she gave on vulnerability. It seemed pretty ACT consistent. One of the sayings she uses is " I am enough " . Anyone got any info? Guest guest
Hi I have been pushing the Brene Brown links on this site - not sure where you found them - for exactly the same reason. She has a site/FB page with a blog and some links. She also does regular webinars which are worth attending. I have just started reading " I thought it was just me " and found it full of " aha " moments - the shame element makes sitting with the emotion so much easier in the context she frames it - and it absolutely ties in with ACT. There is also another line of thinking coming through which my psychologist learnt about at the ACT conference a few weeks ago - Compassion focused therapy - and this ties in beautifully with Brene Brown'w work on Connections. PM me if you want to continue this discussion as it is not ACT specific, although I would encourage people to check it out as it works beautifully with ACT.
