When I had severe pancreatitis some years ago my hair fell out by the handful. As I was female in my 40's then I was very concerned but my doc said it was because I had been very ill and that my body hadn't been replacing my hair as per normal so now it was coming out and leaving bald patches. I'm glad to say it did eventually grow back.

cheers,

My hair started falling out in patches a couple of months ago. When I went to Drs amonth ago he said my zinc was probably low and had a blood test done. Sure enough, he put me on zincate 220mgs 2 x daily and I have this wonderful fuzz growing like crazy. Tim L

I had a problem between two to three months after a cholangitis (or pancreatitis)

attack. The length of time between the illness and the hair loss

makes it difficult to put the proverbial 2 and 2 together.

Barb, Slow to get back, because the sprinkler system folks decided my phone line needed to be cut. And, just like the joke(?) about dealing with idiots, the automated phone line told me to use my computer to notify them of a break. NO PHONE LINE-NO COMPUTER. Marketing zinc tablets/lotion sounds like a great idea. With all the bad paper floating around wall street we could make millions without even producing any thing. Tim L
