Has anyone tried Blood Root or Blood Root Salve for lyme or coinfections? A good friend is wanting us to try it for our daughter, but we aren't sure... Have not yet found any real evidence of it helping with lyme, and also wondering if there would be any adverse side effects of other meds. Although I have heard great things in treating cancer and other infections. Any info would be much appreciated. If it would help, we'd get going on it right away. Thank you, Theresa

Hello Marie,

Our friend has explained to us that the blood root comes either in a capsule, or

a salve. He knows of several people who were cured of cancer. And also a woman

who had some sort of sores on her leg (very large) and she put some of the salve

on them and the infection was " oozing " out from her leg... very gross, but it

works! I have read that it is effective in helping the body to get rid of

cancer. Years ago my brother-in-law had a cancerous growth on the side of his

face and it went away. Just now sure how it would help lyme...

I have not heard of Blood Root specifically for Lyme. It is usually used for

skin problems or sore throats in limited dosages. It should not be taken

internally in large doses or for a long period of time as it can be toxic in

those quantities... Blessings, Meo

Marie, I don't have any examples of people who have used blood root for lyme.

Our friend has encouraged us to look into it for our daughter because it seems

to have great results for other infections. But we don't want to just do it on

our own without learning about it first..... As Meo has said it can be toxic if

taken in large doses over a long period. Incidentally, our daughter just had an

appt. with her LLMD (we have to travel over 300 miles to see him) and he tested

her for it and said it would not have any benefit for her. I've heard great

things, however, for skin conditions.
