One thing that really stuck out in my mind after meeting with Dr. Goldberg

for the first time was that when our immune systems work properly, we will

naturally be able to detox ourselves from all the toxins (such as metals and

pestacides) that are pervasive throughout our very toxic environment.

Chelation can be very dangerous.it's kind of like chemotherapy. I would much

rather have a strong, healthy immune system that can " naturally " chelate.

The protocol does just that.help achieve a strong, healthy immune

system.

Greetings all~

Yesterday, we received our results for 's metal testing and we were

stunned by our Naturopathic DAN Doctor's reaction. He said that 's

levels for mercury and all metals tested for were the highest he has ever

seen in a child or adult...those with and without autism....he was

absolutely stunned.

has been on a strong natural/compounding pharmacy made glutathione for

over a year and his levels were still this high.

I feel very saddened because I know this child is overloaded with these

metals and that this is a huge reason behind his discomfort in the world. I

also feel shocked and saddened that the results were so unusual and alarming

to his Doctor, who treats people from all over the country.

My question is how on earth could he have such high levels? Is this all

from the dreadful shots? Could this be due to our drinking water (we use a

brita filter...nothing fancy, but it's affordable).

His mercury levels (along with arsenic and every other metal tested) were

extremely high, even for an adult reference range. Could this be from the

immunizations? I am always hearing them being heavily defended that they

" do not contain mercury " (with the exception of what they call " trace "

levels of thimeresol...i.e. MERCURY).

What on earth could have caused this other than the immunizations? Could it

be that we live in a heavily toxic environment in our home? Could it be the

Lo-VOC paint we use? Our mattresses? The pesticides etc that the condo

landscapers have used? Something from me in-vitro (I am now being chelated

as well).

Sorry for the rambling...I'm just stunned that our Doctor was so stunned...

We are doing more chelation with the DMPS for the next 3 months in hopes of

cleaning this baby up, along with the glutathione and epsom salt baths. If

anyone has any additional ways to support chelating him at home, please let

us know.

Ask the landscaping company for the MSDS sheets on the chemicals they have

put on the property. Are there any golf courses, orchards or ball fields

nearby? Some chemicals that are not legal to use on residential lawns are

approved for use on those even with adjacent homes. These sometimes

contain high levels of arsenic and mercury.

Totally agree most forms of Chelation are dangerous.

Disagree all can detox mercury just with healthy immune system, especially once

its in the brain. Some don't process metals well, even with healthy immune

system.

After years of research (inc several w Dr G and no lasting progress, untested

combo's of harsh Rx drugs which only temporarily masked symptoms IMHO) we

observed many kids improving and often losing diagnosis, getting off all Rx

drugs.

How many of your kids have lost Dx and are off all Rx meds?

ALA CHELATION (Dr " Andy " Cutler) removes mercury very slowly and safely

over a long period using over the counter health food antioxidant supplement

ALPHA LIPOIC ACID. We tried it with the theory even if it didn't work, it would

do no harm.

Our results are similar to those we read about prior to starting. Nothing short

of a miracle with huge lasting gains.

One of the other beauties is the price - about $50/yr.

Downside is not overnight cure...takes about 2 yrs, usually have periodic yeast

flares (GSE, Biotin handle easily) and dosing is every 3 hrs during day, 4 hrs

at night. (Friday afternoon through Mon AM)

Of course this won't work for everyone, but we are watching the ATEC drop and

have a healthier child who didn't speak until 7, now off all Rx drugs,

consistent straight A's at grade level, school band, only missed a day or two in

the past 2 years.

Dear Geoff, Tamela and ,

We all feel so helpless after a doctor gives us the kind of news your just

got. But realize all doctors are not created equal. When I first started

on this journey with more than 17 years ago. I went across the country

going from doctor to doctor trying to find someone to help us. Although

many wanted to help, they were not qualified to do so. Oh the money I

wasted on these quacks. Fortunately my husband worked for an airline so at

least I didn't have to pay for airfare. I think Kristy explained what some

us have learned over time. If the immune system is working, then the body

takes care of chelation naturally. And this is a safer route to go. In my

nonmedical opinion (which I'm not sure is correct), one day Chelation will

not be allowed anymore. I just heard from another mom of a child who died

after doing this. Dr G says kids who were chelated have damage that shows

up on brain spects. Don't a chance by chelating when there are so many

other safer options.

There are several cases that I know of where this ALA protocol

significantly increased seizures in seizure-prone children. I do not know of

any

cases where seizures developed on this protocol in people who had not already

had a history of prior seizures but it is certainly something to be aware of

as a possible negative side effect.
