Guest guest
I received Dr. G's book and have several questions: 1. Our son has been on Valtrex 250mg/day for 1.5 week. A few days ago he was complaining of severe leg pain (this was mentioned in one of the stories in the book). What does leg pain have to do with antivirals? Is this a usual and good/bad sign when using Valtrex? 2. He takes Nystatin as his antifungal. This med was not mentioned in the antifungal section of the book. Is there a reason Dr. G does not use Nystatin? If he does, what is the recommended dose per day? 3. Our son was taking Prozac but becomes extremely hyper on any SSRI that we try. There is a prescription grade tryptophan that we can get through the pharmacist - will this have the same effect on the brain, in the long run, as an SSRI, in his opinion? 4. Are there any supplements (calcium, magnesium, Omega 3s, etc.) that are allowed? 5. Our son always showed low neutrophils and high eosinophils. I was pre-eclampsic when having our son. This was indicated as a high risk in the book. What does pre-eclampsia have to do with a child with autoimmune/viral issues? Thank you very much for writing the book and giving all of us have hope. Any comments or suggestions are extremely appreciated.
