Are their doctors throughout the country that follow this protocol. We live in Central Florida. Any advice, assistance is greatly appreciated. We have seen a DAN doctor twice so far, but we are not too encouraged... >

Guest guest
You may also want to consider seeing Dr. , who follows the protocol. He has an office in Texas and also goes to a New York clinic at certain times of the year. Either of these offices would be closer to you in Florida. Here is Dr 's contact info: Texas clinic, Port Aransas, Texas. 361-749-1930. Northern New York Autism Center: 315-773-5405. Also has a website: www.nnyautismcenter.com I personally have not visited Dr yet (but hopefully will be very soon) but I have heard great things about him. Good luck! > > How do you get to see Dr. Goldberg? Are their doctors throughout the country that follow this protocol. We live in Central Florida. Any advice, assistance is greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Dr Goldberg is in CA (LA). We see him here (we live here)... you could call his office and ask if there is another Dr in your area that does the same work. However, you could also come out for the first visit and see him... then he requests that lab work be done every 8 weeks or so, and that you give him a weekly update email on all reactions, improvments, regressions etc. Sometimes he wants a weekly diet to look for allergic problems that don't seem to be resolving. Then you do a once per month or so phone consultation. Phone consultations are less expensive than dr visits, however, I don't think that most insurance companies will pay for phone consultations. We submit all our Dr. Goldberg bills to insurance and get them all paid for (minus yearly deductable and copays.) Also, all his perscriptions are paid for through our insurance... it is costing us significantly less than we were paying on DAN protocol. My personal opinion is that Dr Goldberg has been doing this a long time, and is incredibly insightful... he has proven himself right many times when I have doubted him. We had done DAN before as well... with some success. Dr. G is very opposed to DAN practices for the most part... because they can make the allergic/immune response worse and long term may have harmful affects, and negetively affect brain development. However, some of the protocol overlaps with some DAN protocols(no dairy, no cherry/berry, or red or blue food coloring, valtrex, anti fungals when appropriate...) The results we've seen with him have been MUCH better than we were seeing with DAN. Good Luck.
Guest guest
, If you do not mind, what medical insurance do you have and how are they covering phone consultations? Guest guest
Screen actors guild producer's health plan (Anthem Blue cross) also Medi-Cal as secondary. I do Not believe they cover phone consultations.
