I purchased a program that was good, but as we got further into it, Noah had difficulty relating to the subject matter. I really don't think my 10 year old needs to know where the train station is or how to order a bottle of Cabernet in a restaurant. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of cost-effective alternatives. The interest level is high because the characters are cartoon kids. Guest guest
Robyn, thank you for this recommendation! Dr. G recommended " Rosetta Stone " language software for , but this sounds like a more appropriate (and more affordable!) option! Guest guest
LOL! That's exactly what my kids would do - make the mistakes to focus on something other than what they *should* be doing. Little monsters. ________________________________ From: Kristy Nardini <knardini@...> Sent: Fri, February 11, 2011 12:01:12 AM Subject: RE: Language Learning Software  My son purposely chose the wrong answer with Earobics so he could hear the silly sound the program made ;-(. Guest guest
Hi, Kristy. Noah is 10. His expressive speech is still severely delayed; I would say about 4 to 5 years of age. His receptive is near typical. We tried Earobics too, but he didn't really like it. Guest guest
Hey, Donna. We also bought Immersion in English if you want to try it for . I didn't get too far before I realized that it was too much for Noah. If you want, come on over and check out Hooked on English before you buy it.
