Guest guest
Hi, I am panning on taking my son to see dr g but am not sure about the airplane ride affecting my son's seizures. I will be traveling from michigan. I have never had my son in an airplane. He has grand mals and I am worried that maybe the pressure would trigger seizures that would not stop. Maybe it is silly but still the fear is there. Traveling in the car is an option for us but with gas prices, the airplane may be much much cheaper. Does anyone have a child who has grand mals and has taken him on an airplane with no mishaps? Thanks! jo
Guest guest
Have you googled it? Maybe asked the neurologist? I haven't heard of it happening but haven't had to live with that. If he does have grand mals, is it something that worsens him for a while, or would it be ok for it to happen on a plane? (Choices vs severity...) Good luck. ________________________________ From: maryjos <ilovekidsanddogs@...> Sent: Fri, February 25, 2011 10:41:26 PM Subject: Seizures and Airplanes  Hi, I am panning on taking my son to see dr g but am not sure about the airplane ride affecting my son's seizures. Guest guest
Do you have diastat on hand for seizures? If so, I would bring that as that would stop the seizure if he had one on the plane.
