Guest guest
Debbie, I am in the same boat trying to get off Ativan. I've been off once cold turkey and am not going to repeat that nightmare. ANyways, you said you can't get below 1.5. I am sure getting on a protocol will help, but I am curious how you use exercise. It is an anxiety destroyer for me. Welcome and God bless, Casey

Guest guest
Thanks for the info , i have been taking the 3 .05 pills for about a year, shouldn't i be able to reduce to 2C Creel wrote: Dear Deborah,You said:<<I am trying to go to two pills a day for right now>> ** This is why you're stuck. That's a drop of 33.3% - way too much. You want to do a 10% or less decrease on the dose that matters least to you. You can do that by dissolving the pill in 10 oz of water and drinking 9 oz of it.<<I am new to this board, i have been taking ativan for 4 years nowand> i am down to .05 three times a day, i can't seem to go any further,i> try to go to 2 pills a day instead of three, i am trying to cut the> one i take at bedtime but when i do i cannot sleep.>>Regards,"Every science touches art at some points whileevery art has its scientific side; the worst manof science is he who is never an artist, and theworst artist is he who is never a man of science."[Armand Trousseau] Yahoo! Guest guest
Casey, Wow i guess what i am going through is a peice of cake compared to what you went through. I will follow 's advise, i have never heard of the water thing and asked her to explain it more to me, i just really want to get off of this stuff, my doctor told me i wasn't ready yet and to just stay on the same dosage i am taking now, but i want to get off of them and i will, what is the juicing about? I don't eat any red meat and try to eat healthy, and that wasn't nice rubbing it in that you live in sunny cal.But it is really pretty in Vermont. Thanks for your input it is greatly apreciated.Debbiemcpark99_2000 wrote: Debbie,Cold turkey off Ativan was a hell I can't really do justice to with words. I had been on it 8 years at between 3-4 mg a day when it was done. Needless to say, I strongly advise you to follow 's advice. It has helped me a great deal. I live in Southern California, so weather isn't a problem for me. Sorry, couldn't resist. For me vigorous exercise is riding about 30-40 miles on my bike, but I still have to be careful not to go overboard. When I push myself to total exhaustion I get overstimulated or something and the brain feels it. As for a protocol, I meant taking supplements per the basic healing protocol here or through 's advice. For me it also means eating the right way. Lastly, juicing has made a big difference in my life and something you might want to take a look at. Casey Yahoo! Mail Bring photos to life! New PhotoMail makes sharing a breeze. Guest guest
Hi Rosemary and welcome to the group! I know exactly how you feel. I have felt like some health care professionals are blowing me off. It wasn’t until I went to the rheumatologist and he told me that I should NEVER let anyone make me think I am crazy as this pain is VERY real. He is referring to my fibromyalgia. I also have CRPS. I understand what you mean. Don’t apologize for venting. That is what we are here for! -----Original Message----- From: chronic_pain Thanks for letting me join your group. I hear and understand what you all are saying re: your symptoms.

In fact it seems like there are a lot of nurse that are in this group. I just found that interesting in itself. Glad you found our group and hope tomorrow is a better day. Guest guest
Not sure who I'm talking to but here goes... I came across " Walking on Eggshells " in a bookstore the other day and my sister suggested that I buy it. She had said before that she thought our mother had BPD but I didn't pay much attention, she's always trying to diagnose people since she became a psychiatric nurse. When I started reading all the traits and examples of BPD I was absolutely shocked, it described my mother's personality and behavior perfectly. And all these years I just assumed she was crazy and did my best to tiptoe around her. I'm 26 now and married with a new baby. I feel a million times more free from her now that I have my husband to support me, however I still get anxious every time I have to deal with her in any way, such as the upcoming holiday. It is such a relief to read these posts and realize that other people have the same issue with picking out a Mother's day card... I could never find one that simply says, thanks for giving birth to me. I thought I was the only one that felt this way. I'm looking forward to this group and looking forward to not feeling alone. Guest guest
I'm just a couple of weeks ahead of you in my discovery. As for cards, I find a funny one works best. Just make sure there's not to much truth behind it or they'll get offended. > > Not sure who I'm talking to but here goes...
