Hi Debbie, I just want to say Hi and welcome to the group. Have you had a chance to look over the Files that were sent when you joined? There is a lot of important information there. Please let us know what questions you have after reading. Would you tell us a bit more about yourself? What dose were you on originally? What size cuts have you made in the dose, and how long did you wait between cuts?

Hi , I was on 3 mgs a day and have gotton it down to 1.5mgs a day, but like i said i am having a hard time reducing it, i have been through this before but with xanax and was in the hospital for that, i was taking 4mgs of xanax a day and had a break down of sort, i am bipolar and have been off all my meds for that for a year and a half and i have the ativan to get off before i am totally clean of any medication. Debbie,

I am in the same boat trying to get off Ativan. I've been off once cold

turkey and am not going to repeat that nightmare. ANyways, you said you

can't get below 1.5. I am sure getting on a protocol will help, but I

am curious how you use exercise. It is an anxiety destroyer for me.

Casey, Wow i guess what i am going through is a peice of cake compared to what you went through. I will follow 's advise, i have never heard of the water thing and asked her to explain it more to me, i just really want to get off of this stuff, my doctor told me i wasn't ready yet and to just stay on the same dosage i am taking now, but i want to get off of them and i will, what is the juicing about? I don't eat any red meat and try to eat healthy, and that wasn't nice rubbing it in that you live in sunny cal.But it is really pretty in Vermont. When I push myself to total exhaustion I get overstimulated or something and the brain feels it. As for a protocol, I meant taking supplements per the basic healing protocol here or through 's advice. For me it also means eating the right way. Lastly, juicing has made a big difference in my life and something you might want to take a look at. Casey

I know exactly how you feel. I have felt like some health care professionals are

blowing me off. It wasn’t until I went to the rheumatologist and he told me that

I should NEVER let anyone make me think I am crazy as this pain is VERY real.

He is referring to my fibromyalgia. I also have CRPS. I understand what you

mean.

Don’t apologize for venting. That is what we are here for!

Hello Rosemary! I am sorry you have been through so much also. I saw you were a

nurse too. In fact it seems like there are a lot of nurse that are in this

group. I just found that interesting in itself. Glad you found our group and

hope tomorrow is a better day.

Not sure who I'm talking to but here goes... I came across " Walking on

Eggshells " in a bookstore the other day and my sister suggested that I

buy it. She had said before that she thought our mother had BPD but I

didn't pay much attention, she's always trying to diagnose people since

she became a psychiatric nurse. When I started reading all the traits

and examples of BPD I was absolutely shocked, it described my mother's

personality and behavior perfectly. And all these years I just assumed

she was crazy and did my best to tiptoe around her. I'm 26 now and

married with a new baby. I feel a million times more free from her now

that I have my husband to support me, however I still get anxious every

time I have to deal with her in any way, such as the upcoming holiday.

It is such a relief to read these posts and realize that other people

have the same issue with picking out a Mother's day card... I could

never find one that simply says, thanks for giving birth to me. I

thought I was the only one that felt this way. I'm looking forward to

this group and looking forward to not feeling alone.

I'm just a couple of weeks ahead of you in my discovery. As for

cards, I find a funny one works best. Just make sure there's not to

much truth behind it or they'll get offended. ;)
