Guest guest Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 A recent randomized controlled study by Tami Jeffcoat and C. has shown that reading " Get out of your mind and into your life " for 2 months and completing its exercises improves psychological health. Such preventive or therapeutic use of books is called bibliotherapy. This study was conducted using strict scientific design. Conclusions of this study are as follows: " Overall, participants showed significant improvement in psychological health. Significant preventive effects for depression and anxiety were observed along with significant ameliorative effects for those in the clinical ranges of depression, anxiety and stress.
