Guest guest
Hi , Thnaks for your reply. My son is so hungry in the morning ,most of the time he is Anyways from last week i started giving one full big tilapia fried with some stir fried veggies and his most fav 1/2 of a toast with soy butter then some kind of fruit a small piece. Only difference i see after eating high protein he is not asking more sugar or carbs. Anyway i dont know how long he will eat this stuff.I feel so bad when we took him outside he see kids eating ice cream now a days he dont ask and cry just deep look which breaks my heart. We used to give goat milk and other stuff then i stopped it 2 months back seeing lots of parents are not using, anyway i didnt see any gains after stopping that so i might start it again. We live in kitchener,Onatrio,Canada i dont get goat cho ice cream, i see only blue berry, strwberry or rasberry ice cream. I feel like everytime we take out his fav foods he is crazy for all berries ,cherries Sometime i wish one day of month if i could give him some berry he likes. At school he wont eat the stuff i sent and teachers say he keep on asking or looking others food and if they drop something down he is going for that.Hope one day our kids will be healthy and can have anything they want right. Thanks, Anitha From: mdfreedberg@... Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2011 10:19:46 -0500 Subject: Daily NIDs Diet Hi Anitha, Our daughter eats the same thing for breakfast every day: 2 pc. turkey bacon and a bowl of dry rice crispies. For lunch she usually eats a medallion of creamy goat cheese (it comes in individual packets from Trader Joes), 2 pc. turkey bacon, and either an apple or banana. Sometimes she will have a sandwich instead of the turkey bacon and sometimes she will take a little peanut butter to dip her apples in. Dinner is usually chicken, steak, burger with a bun or potato pancakes as the bun (it sounds crazy but it's good) or salmon. Twice a week at most we have white rice, once or twice a week we have potato pancakes. That's pretty much it. For snacks she will eat bananas, carrots and dairy free ranch, potato chips. She eats choc. ice cream made with goat milk a few times a week. She drinks water all day. I hope this helps! It's a pretty boring diet but she's happy so I'm happy! Guest guest
is he able to eat peanut butter? maybe dipping his apples in peanut butter would make him like it more. we also use goat ice cream that we can get at whole foods, the brand is La Loo (or something like this). we also dip bananas in choc sauce on special occasions. i get the choc sauce at whole foods also. i wish someone here would like goat milk, we tried every brand. if your son likes it, there is no reason to stop him from eating it. dr. g said we could have popcorn once a week so we have a movie night and eat popcorn. i love that your son eats tilapia, i wish my kids ate fish! Guest guest
Hi Anitha, When we started with Dr. G we were already GFCFSF and didn't want to change. Whenever he told us to cut more food out, I cried. Finally we changed to his diet instead and it opened up a food world as it closed another. The diet will change so hang in there. The beginning was the hardest for us but now we are ok since our girl is a kid who is fine eating the same thing day after day. I know how you feel about the desserts, I always made sure I was the class mom so I could be in charge of food at the thousands of parties we had in elementary school. Rice crispie treats are a lifesaver. Dr. G okayed them for us, as long as I made them, 2x a week. She doesn't eat them this much but it's good to know I can whip up something so easy and okay on the diet. Parties are still hard. She has two this weekend and it is a huge leap of faith I need to have to trust these parents to do the right thing for my girl. If you need any dessert recipes, let me know. Even if you don't make them very often, it's good to have stuff that your son will like that makes him feel like the typical kid he is. Our ice cream is now delivering so I am sending you the link. I don't know how expensive it is to deliver but it's good to know it's available if you need it. http://www.laloos.com/getsome.php Give your son a big hug and have some fun with him today. You both deserve it. On 2/25/11 11:48 AM, Shyam Nair wrote: > > > Hi , > > Thnaks for your reply. Guest guest
Hmm - do you have a good cake brownie recipe using powdered coco so there won't be any soy? I'd love to have one ... I just don't have the patience to find one online anymore... ________________________________ From: and Daron Freedberg <mdfreedberg@...> Sent: Mon, February 28, 2011 10:40:45 AM Subject: Re: Daily NIDs Diet  Hi Anitha, When we started with Dr.
