Guest guest
We get the lab tests sent to us from Dr. and we take it to our local doctor who agreed to do it so that our insurance would pay for it totally. We did all the blood work in one visit and had the results sent to us and to Dr. who interpreted them for us. I like that he looked at all of the results and paperwork BEFORE we saw him. We were cautious and didn't want to spend all that time and money flying down to Texas (from MN) just to be told there was nothing in the bloodwork. He did find immune system abnormalities and we did fly down to see him. We had to pay $500 for the office visit, but submitted a receipt to our insurance and it was paid by insurance because we had our local doctor write a referral to see him. We pay $175 for phone consults about every 6 weeks. Insurance won't pay for that, so we use special waiver money to help pay for that. Dr. will want to see our son again in person once a year at least. Dr. listened to all our concerns and seems very willing to help us out whenever we have questions.
