Hello Everyone,

As most are aware, Dr. Goldberg's book will be published in mid February. In

order to spread the word about /autism, a group of parents has been working

on updating the original website to reflect the publication of the book,

re-invigorate a parent focus and objective for our children NOW.

The Mission Statement on the website follows:

" The Neuro Immune Dysfunction Syndromes () Research and Treatment Institute

and Parent Group believe that the surge in the number of children diagnosed

as " autistic " over the last two decades firmly supports our hypothesis: autism

is not developmental in nature, but a disease process. This disease manifests

itself as a neuro-immune dysfunction, resulting in symptoms of ASD, ADHD, OCD,

Chronic Fatigue, and other learning or autoimmune related disorders. Our mission

is to bring about a parent, patient, and professional focus on this medical

epidemic as was done for polio, measles, HIV, and many other infectious

diseases. We are working to create recognition of the urgency to concentrate

resources on effective treatments, prevention protocols, and new pharmaceuticals

to treat this disease. We believe this must be done expediently, while keeping

medical safety and scientific credibility paramount. "

We are ready to ask whether other parents would be interested in helping develop

and promote this effort, potentially help organize regional or state networks

and committees. If you are, then you can send me you name, interests and email

address and I or the group will get back to you.

Sincerely,

Tony and Gayle
