Yes you do need those records from the hospital. Or atleast I did.

EIght and a half years ago, I did not provide hospital birth records for my

son. I did provide an exctensive history however that did include my

recollection although no specific test results aside from my sons APGAR

numbers. Perhaps you should call the office and confirm whether they are

necessary.

Same with us. We provided all private and school reports like speech

and behavior, including the first diagnosis. And complete medical

records from his pediatricians, but not the hospital.

Thanks everyone for your answers! After I got my son's first pediatrician's

records, I realized the hospital records were in there too anyway...so whether

he needs them or not, he has them. :)
