Guest guest
Hi Ed, I agree with you, however, this is something that Bee will need to address. In the meantime, let's just refer people to her website where the information is constantly being updated. For the past few days, I followed your diet minus the snack and I felt like I ate more at my meals and had low energy and bad headaches. What is so terrible about having snacks? > Are raw nuts allowed on your diet? +++Hi . Welcome to our group. Sorry my friend, but there is no other candida program like this one, and that is why this program gets results where others fail. This is a very high " good " fats program and low-carbs, along with moderate protein. So it is important you understand that Candida cannot be cured by " killing it off. " Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. The reason snacks aren't good is because your body only needs 3 square meals per day, and some people do better only eating 2 meals per day. Snacking between meals or eating more often is not healthy. Your body needs the time between meals to digest, absorb and utilize the nutrients without having its energies directed towards digesting more food. If you eat enough food at mealtime, two to three times a day, it will sustain you until the next meal, particularly when you consume enough " good " fats. Also raw nuts shouldn't be eaten unless they are properly soaked and dried first, which is explained here: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods18.php Also most raw almonds in North America are now be irradiated (zapped with radiation) which shouldn't be eaten since they cause damage in your body, just like microwaving foods does. To help with hypoglycemia until your body changes over to running on good fats instead of carbs/glucose you can have some protein and good fats between meals, but that should only take 4 months on this program. Please ensure you read two important articles so you understand candida, and know what you need to do and why: 1) How to Successfully Overcome Candida http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php 2) Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The best in health, Bee
Guest guest
Thank you Bee!I went out today and purchased all of the vitamins. I've done a diet quite similar to yours for a while. So it's hasn't been difficult to make those changes. I just have two questions.. I'm so glad you're saying I can have snacks. I'm feeling so dizzy, headache, and cranky! My fats aren't as high right now since I'm only taking 1 tsp of coconut oil. What snacks would you recommend? Something easy would be a plus. I'm a teacher and would normally just grab a handful of almonds or eat an apple, but since I can't eat those...what would you recommend? Hard boiled egg? Also, I just started with 1 tsp of coconut oil. How long should I stay on 1 tsp before I increase? When I increase next should I just add another 1/2 tsp? I feel like it might take me forever to reach 6 tbsp. I've only taken 1 tsp for 2 days and I'm feeling it! Thank you!!! > > > > Hello, > > > > I've been on a Candida diet very similar to yours for quite some time. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, hard boiled eggs are a good option for a snack while you are transitioning. Could you also eat some butter with your egg? Eating fat will help to make you feel satisfied. It took me almost 6 months to get up to 6Tbsp. of coconut oil. It's different for everyone. Just go at your own pace. All the best, (Group Moderator) > > > Thank you Bee!I went out today and purchased all of the vitamins. I've done a diet quite similar to yours for a while. Guest guest
Hi , I just wanted to make clear that does NOT think that snacking is okay. But that you should eat enough at each meal to get you to the next. You might want to reread her reponse to you about what she says about snacking. If you are so hungry that you can't make it to the next, though, then the hard boiled eggs would be okay, while you are transitioning onto the diet. I hope that is clear and that I didn't cause too much confusion with my other response to you. Guest guest
I can't tolerate any dairy. I've looked for ghee but haven't found it in my stores. Here is a recipe from Bee's website: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/butter2.php You can eat any leftover foods as a snack. Here are some specific snack/recipe ideas: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/menu6.php Bee's website contains a wealth of information! Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > > I wrote to you about a week ago, asking if I could have snacks. I did not have any snacks for the first 11 days of following your diet. However, today I did not eat a big enough lunch because I was really hungry a few hours later. I didn't have anything to quickly heat up to eat, so I grabbed some roast beef. (It's roast beef that I got from the deli counter at Whole Foods, it's just roast beef, salt, and pepper. My husband just got it today. Is deli meat from a counter okay? > ++Hi . It is important that you be able to " think " with the information and decide for yourself. Ask yourself " what " is in that deli meat that isn't healthy? In the roast beef it is the salt, which is regular table salt. However, it may be a small amount so having it won't cause a great harm. But if you start having a lot of processed foods that contain table salt it adds up and isn't healthy. Each kind of deli meat will be different too, since most have preservatives, sulfites, nitrates, etc. and if they are smoked they are not okay. Also some already have molds on them. Guest guest
Thank you! Sorry for asking so many food questions! I've been very good on the diet so far. I tried lamb burgers for the first time last night and loved them! I have to go back to work soon. What would you recommend in terms of packing a lunch? Salads with meat, or tuna. Or would it be okay to bring in leftovers and heat in the microwave. I don't have or use a microwave at home. But at work, I can't heat things on a stove top! haha! Also, I made my own homemade mayo for the first time today! It's really good. I intend on making your tuna recipe and the chicken egg salad this week! > > > > Hi Bee, > > > > I wrote to you about a week ago, asking if I could have snacks. Guest guest
Hello All, What do you give your kids for snacks that are OK with Dr G? I try to give high protein and veges as much as possible. Since nuts and fruit are out, even homemade trail mix is out. I found some " turkey stix " at Whole Foods that are nitrite and nitrate free that have 8 gms of protein. I was so excited until I saw the last ingredient is paprika. Dr. G says no red spices! I asked the office staff and they said as long as it is meat, it's OK. What do yall do about pepperoni and sausage that have " spices " in them? Are they a " no-no " ? I read somewhere that cashews are the least allergenic nut. Do any of you include them in your diets? My son's eosinophils have never been elevated, but his NK cells have only gone up to 6 after 9 years at 2 or below. Dr. G says diet is a factor. Well, I am with Caroline about diet burnout and frustration. It boils down to always feeling guilty about never doing enough! TIA, Ellen

Dr. R told us no whole wheat, dairy, or milk chocolate. Even looking at http://nids.net/diet.htm it doesn't mention nuts or peanuts anywhere. Is there a more definitive source for the diet? Thanks,
Guest guest
Nuts are high in arginine (not sure about peanuts). I think viral people want to avoid high-arginine diets and have (or supplement) diets higher in lysine. Jen > > > > > > Hello All, > > > > What do you give your kids for snacks that are OK with Dr G?
