Hey just curious if anyone has dealt with these people before. I call to talk

to someone. they say they have a free consultation. then when you call up -you

talk to an appt setter who opens an account for you? wants all your contact

info, name address email, etc... and childs name, date of birth, etc... before

you ever even get to talk to someone about whether or not its a match or a

possibility. SOUNDS FISHY!! Unfortunately, i had already been sold on the idea

by the website info and was willing to spend the money for treatment and

training but now i am too concerned to move ahead. Its sounds like some big

sales gimmick- i felt really uncomfortable like it was a scam :(

My husband just completed a son rise start up program.. I can not tell you

enough good things about the program.. We researched it for a year until we

decided to do it, and it is anything but a scam.. Such a wonderful way to look

and deal with our kids.. To know they're just children underneath it all..

I would recommend it to anyone..

You can also watch the movie " miracle of love " .. Explains how it started..

Good luck to you

Hi ,

Yeah, that's a little pushy, I suppose, but they aren't a scam. They really

seem to help a lot of kids, but I just don't think they consider the health

of the child a lot (but I say that b/c mines been real sick since soon after

birth). I did do the start up program and it is good, but I'd make sure you

are committed to doing it before spending that money. I'd get my kiddo

healthy more, then do it so you can give the program and him your all and

expect the same from him.

The free consult should have you talking to or one of the other

members and I did this and they really helped. Remember though, they still

are a business;( so you'll have that business part of it and they'll get

your info to follow up with you.

It is not a scam though I can understand your discomfort with having to

provide so much information up front. I did not have to do that when we

first looked into the program many years ago. We ran a Son-Rise program for my

son for two years, then used their methods as we blended in other things

he needed and eased him into the " real world. I still use their methods

with other kids I work with and have provided educational/social skills

consulting for several families who are using the Son-Rise approach. We were

an

ambassador family for them for several years when we were running an active

program. It was a very helpful program for my son and our entire family.

I'd be happy to chat with you about Son-Rise from a parent's view. Feel

free to contact me off list.

They're just using strong marketing tactics.  Makes for good business.

Typically where I work, we're going to collect a good bit of info on someone

before scheduling anything to see if we'd be a good fit, or it we should

recommend another location for something more tailored to their needs, too.

We don't aggressively call people or anything like that.  But with Sonrise,

you'll get regular mail (not overkill though) and notices about their programs

and such.  Not really a big deal.

I don't know anything about them. I've heard plenty of things, and I've heard

only a couple of complaints.  I didn't go into it because it didn't seem

anywhere near what my kids needed, and cost-wise I was definitely going to put

my very limited money where I felt it'd be most useful... the protocol.

I

haven't regretted that choice yet.  Only the part where I ran out of it and

lost

2 years.
