I finally realized I never knew the words...

you know where you sing what you think they say? (those were the days I passed

my

hearing tests, too, btw)

Instead of " I come from the land Down Under... "

I thought it was something like " I come from the land of the love " (yes, I

thought that

was weird, but a lot of songs are... of course our Aussie friends will insist

the two

are synonymous...)

And then all this talk about vegemite has been quite educational...

I previously did not know it existed...

Instead of " He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich.... "

I thought it was " He just smiled and gave me a piece of his sandwich... "

And I have the tune in my head these days, thanks to you guys--

it was a good tune, though, a feel-good one...

but I ~still~ say the wrong words in my head!
