Guest guest
Hi Pat, I really relate to how disheartening it is about the cognitive stuff. About ten years ago I went through testing by a neuro psychologist. He was not able to measure the intelligence I felt I had lost. There were days while on meds that I felt I could not string one thought to the next. I really don't know how I kept a job. In fact, I came very close to getting fired. At one point I had to write myself instructions for how to do simple things, like boil water. At the time, I had no idea that the psych meds could be causing my mental decline. When I joined this group and started taking the basic supplements listed in the Files section, the ones listed in her post to you yesterday, my brain started to get better, even though I wasn't tapered all the way off the meds yet. I had taken fish oil before, but didn't notice a difference. It was whatever brand the health food store had. The quality and purity of the Carlson's, as well as the higher dose which is made so much easier b/c it is a liquid, really helped. I noticed an improvement in mental functioning. Take care, Relax.
