Guest guest
My son also had horrible tonsils and adenoids. was in first grade when we took them out. Dr. G wanted us to wait since it is a big operation and wanted to avoid it if possible. But we went ahead with the surgery. Sometimes you have to do what you think is best for your kid. was always ill before he had his tonsils and adenoids out. Sleep apnea may have been an issue too. When he got better sleep, he continued to improve. Having this operation was one of the best things I ever did for his immune system. He was no longer constantly sick. I know his future wife will be grateful because the snoring like a freight train was gone as a result of the adenoids being taken out. However, when the ear nose and throat doctor said it was a ten day recovery, it was a ten day recovery. The long term benefit to his immune system was definitely worth the recovery time. Without tonsils and adenoids he was a much healthier kid and we saw many gains after they were gone. Best, Marcia
