Our 3y.o son has been on the DAN protocol for about 9 months, and he's been on

GFCFSF for about 1y.5mo. DAN protocol has not shown big results, although the

probiotics and the digestive enzymes have changed his digestion dramatically, to

the point where he gained 3 pounds in 2 months (after almost 2 years stuck on 27

lbs)....

We have finally decided to swith to . So far I have read about the do's and

don't's of the diet, but I would like to find more specific examples or recipes.

My son loves broccoli and raw match-stick carrots, he can have them breakfast,

lunch and dinner if I let him... He also eats potatoes, French fries

(obviously), all kinds of beans, except for green beans (these I cook in chicken

soup until they have lost the flavor...), he also eats mashed potatoes (made

w/rice dream), Bertolli's organic spaguetti sauce, and we use Gerber's pear

sauce for his medicines and supplements (too young to swallow pills). I also

add tons of onios, garlic, celery, herbs, etc...I have tried yellow squash,

zuchini, and other vegetables but he would not eat any of these.

Since he has difficult yeast issues, we keep him away from corn, sugars, and all

fruits with a few exceptions. I read that pears and berries do not cause as much

problems as other fruits when it comes to yeast; however, I understand berries

are not allowed on the diet. Does anyone know why? (His allergy panel came

back with a slight reaction to shrimp, but nothing else came back positive).

Anyway, I want to read more about the diet, and if possible find recipes (easy

or complicated...), or if anyone can write about what your menu for the week

looks like, that would be very helpful too!!!

Thank you!... WEN
