Guest guest
hi Miriam, the blocks on T4/T3 could be due to binding by auto-antibodies. this may be happening in this case . the binding can happen to both the T4 and to the T3 this causes the hormone to be inactive and in the case of T3 causes a build up of this in the body. which iscalled a conversion problem. in the normal individual their is no binding and treatment is strait forward. when the T4 has binding then the only treatment is T3 only.hope this helps angel. Guest guest
Thanks. Please could you explain more fully or do you know of any books or web pages that cover this topic? It is confusing that it is called a conversion problem when there seems to be no difficulty converting the T4 to T3. Would this binding explain why his T4 was low? Would the hashimoto's antibody blood test show positive in this case, or are you talking about some other kind of antibody? Guest guest
My son had dr g's blood panel done and everything came back normal except he is low in vitamin d. How can this be, he is very sick? Why does dr g run these tests when it was always my understanding that tests are not accurate? I expected the viruses to possibly be hidden? Can anyone help me understand this? Thank you! jo
