Guest guest
Hi everyone, Does anyone know if doses of Diflucan and Valtrex can be given together? I know the Valtrex is 250 mg 3 times a day but my DAN said for the fluconaozle, the dose would be 4ml the first day, 2ml daily after that. Is this correct? My wife and I are very disappointed with our DAN experience. We are waiting on my son's medical records to send back with questionaire so we can get an appointment with Dr. Goldberg. Just got Dr. G's book and started reading it. My son is on a lot of different supplements: DMG, vit d, colostrum, zinc, b-12, folinic acid, cod liver oil, vitamin C, magnesium and most recently we switched to custom probiotics. When we switched to custom probiotics he did well for the first three days but then went back to his normal behaviors. He is hyper most of the time, lacks focus (attention) is constantly stimming (puts his hands in front of his eyes) and does a LOT OF TEETH GRINDING. My son has been on Nystatin, Diflucan, Sporanox, Nystatin and now Nizoral. Up until now none have taken care of his yeast overgrowth. Previous 2 Oats test showed Arabinose and Parapsilosis to be very high. Did an Oats test this week and won't get test results back for another 2 weeks to see if Nizoral has helped his yeast (had to call Dr. to order test, buy kit). I can't stand the fact that my DAN! is not big on test and would rather take the let's try this approach. I emailed him this morning that we are concerned with Sebastian's behaviors being like a YO-Yo, a couple of good days spread into a lot of bad days. My son does not appear healthy (black circles under eyes)I asked him to call in Diflucan and Valtrex for my son. He called the prescriptions in and said in the email hopefully we can get this figured out (very reassuring). We can't wait to see Dr. G and have a Dr that believes in taking test and doing things methodically. I hope no one takes this post as bashing the DAN! protocol (we know it has helped lots of our kids) but we are disappointed. Sorry for the long post and a special thanks to all that have responded to my previous post. If you sent an email to any of my previous post sorry about not responding I do appreciate it but with working going to school and 3 boys it is sometimes difficult to find the time. If anyone has the answer to my question as well as any tips to what may help my son with some of his behaviors I would greatly appreciate it.
