Yikes, that & #39;s a long time. I & #39;m still waiting for my packet to arrive.

I & #39;m not so sure what to do in the meantime?

Do I continue his Valtrex, Difflucan and vitamins or stop everything until I see

Dr G.? Any suggestions from anyone?

Start with the diet and get the blood test Dr. G. needs done before 1st

appointment. That will help a lot.

Wow! That long? How long did it take for them to contact you to schedule the

appt? I'm sending out my packet of medical records, etc today. How long will it

take before I hear from them? Or did you call them once you knew they received

your packet? I'm sending it priority mail with confirmation so I know hen it

gets there.

I mailed the packet on Thurs. It arrived Monday and they called Tuesday. So it

was pretty quick. The thing that took so long was filling out all the paperwork,

collecting medical records, etc.

Dr. G's office will send you a requisition form with all of the blood tests

listed before your appointment. The first set of tests is a pretty long list,

and I'd imagine that some of what he orders depends on your specific child's

background (for instance, my son had some kidney issues, so he had a few tests

done to monitor that situation). -- Holly

I would say continue valtrex and diflucan.. do diet and stop supplements. We

saw a big improvement when we stopped supplements and changed diet. Get tests

done that you can before hand (there should be a list in Dr G's book)... and I

would show up to the first appt. with a weeks diet. (write down everything your

child eats for a week before you go to see Dr. G). This will save time because

you will be sure you are doing the diet correctly from the start... and he can

start changing it right away if there are still issues.

Make sure you are doing proper amount of valtrex and diflucan (I think there are

guidelines in the book) ... our son is on valtrex and does 1/2 of a 500mg

tablet (so 250mg) 3X per day. He is 40 lbs and 6 years old.

You don't want to stop and start anti virals and anti fungals inappropriately as

this can increase resistance of viruses and yeast.
