Guest guest
You won't be able to take a capsule if you get good restriction I don't believe. Although a good banded buddy of mine can still take huge vitamins without a problem. I still can't figure that out. I was told anything bigger then a pea in size should be split or crushed. I have been taking a vitamin from GNC that I really like in capsule form. Is anyone able to take capules after fills? If not, what is the best one to take. I firmly believe in them and don't want to stop taking vitamins. The liquid ones that I have tried, well, let's just say that they tasted like s**t and I can barely tolerate them. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks. Debby

They also contain derivatives from whole foods such as grains, nuts and seeds - all of which must be properly prepared prior to consumption so they do not damage your intestines nor block digestio of minerals and protein - this is also discussed in my article " How to Successfully Overcome Candida. See my article for a description of what to avoid when buying supplements, i.e. sugar-free, yeast-free, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, etc. Here is Canada I buy Quest, Swiss and Natural Factors - there should be similar quality supplements available at your local health store as well. ==>Phyto means " plant, " which simply means the supplements are derived from plants. Unfortunately the products sold at this site contain damaging plants such as soy, grains, nuts and seeds, which have not been fermented or prepared properly prior to processing. , maybe post a message with a good subject line, i.e. " Brand of Supplements others take? Guest guest
Hi , No problem. I happen to like the Nutrina and NOW Foods brands of vitamins when I buy them. But I've been trying to get my vitamins from fresh foods mostly. Lots of veggies which have been in season here and I can get them just-picked. I know the acarola cherry has the highest content of vitamin C of any plant. I believe bell peppers also rank very high. The best vitamin C tablets I have used seem to get it from the acerola cherries. I don't know much about acerola; I have never seen them on sale in grocery stores and I don't know if they are OK on the candida diet. They may be very tart and have very little sugar in them. Time for some research! Zack On Wed, 28 Sep 2005, want2beorganic wrote: > Irene: > I was trying to reply to your post but it didn't work for some reason > so I had to start over! Guest guest
Debby, I've been taking (chewing) the VIACTIVE multi vitamins since my surgery. They're a great source of vitamins and calcium and the bonus is - they're chocolate!!! I got mine at Walgreens on sale for $5.99 for 60 softchews. Liz PS: I Have a bottle of Centrum liquid vitamins that I haven't opened yet. After reading your comments, I'm not sure I will! (LOL) > Hi Group, > I was banded 8/17 and have not had a fill yet. Guest guest
Hi , I think I and the other moderators and Bee generally give some latitude to new members. I was just telling someone on another group I'm on that I am a moderator on 3 and the owner of one. We get a lot of what I call " hit-and-run spammers " who sign up for the group, post their spam and then unsubscribe. But the spam they all post seems to follow a certain format and when I don't see that format, I have to assume someone is just trying to be helpful. I myself had the idea you were legitimately trying to find out if their products were OK. Of course, posting a message advertising hair tonic on an amateur radio or electronics newsgroup is highly suspicious! Guest guest
Zack, Thanks for the info. Will check it out. I am trying to eat the seasonal veggies too but with all I hear about soil depletion and genetic engineering I feel I should supplement too. Lucky you to be able to get just picked! yum! > Hi , > No problem. I happen to like the Nutrina and NOW Foods brands of > vitamins when I buy them. Guest guest
Zack, That's exactly what I was doing...just wanted a wiser pair of eyes to look. Bee pointed out there are grains, seeds, soy etc. in these supplements so I'm glad I did post and didn't waste my money. Hate to keep repeating myself but you guys are so great!!! I've been dealing (and feeling alone) with my illness for 11 years. To find hope and such loving support has been like a miracle to me! Bless you, Hi Are you a Candida sufferer, or just here to sell some products " could someone please look at this site with me " sounds like sales talk. Guest guest
I would think if it is an actual "capsule" where it is tiny little time release pellets inside a gelatin capsule, it would be fine...as the outer capsule dissolves and the drug is released a little at a time as the inside pellets dissolve. However, if you are talking about a "caplet" which is a biga$$ vitamin tablet, I would think it would need to be broken down and swallowed in small pieces. I take 2 types of meds that are in capsules, and as far as I know, I will have to continue taking them after my surgery...but my PCP seemed to think they would be fine...BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGSDawnita May"before" photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/

Guest guest
I take some great vitamins that I order online from www.bariatricadvantage.com. My bloodwork has always been perfect, might want to check it out. They're chewable and taste great! Dede 3/4/04 Drs. Dasher and Rutledge vitamins I went to walmart today to restock up on the vitamins Dr Rutledge and the manual recommend we take. The one source high potency vitamins and they are either being discontinued or phased out and coming back under a different label. No one in the store could tell me. So I got a lesser One source since I am completely out of vitamins. The next closest walmart is 75 miles or more away. So does anyone from CLOS recommend a back up? Will Doctor Rutledge see this and respond??? What about you other post ops? What vitamins have you all had success with? Preop I used lessmans vitamins. High quality vitamins. but If I am malabsorbing and need to take 3 or 4 times more then a normal person that could be pricey for his vitamins. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Blessings Cheri 10/26/05 Dr Rutledge Las Vegas 299/
Guest guest
I use the BJs or Costco house brands. they are both USP-verifed (which is very important, in my opinion) and a huge bottle is a reasonable price. They have worked well for me; my recent labwork came back absolutely perfect. I think the Walmart brand was chosed simply b/c it was accessible and cheap. Don't buy vitamins w/out the USP-verfied symbol. Joanie 5/25/04 Drs. Guest guest
Yes it is FREE! Life Force does not charge one red cent for their product! This then would be free! UPS would then ship it to you, and UPS's charge is $7.95 . UPS charges for delivery, and Life Force charges nothing for their $29 retail value quart, not a " sample " bottle! When Life Force does not charge anything, and does not receive any money for their FREE quart they give away it would then be called FREE! Any questions? http://www.healthgotit.com for a FREE Quart, delivered by those rotten UPS drivers who should do their work for FREE too go here http://tinyurl.com/b4ulr Re: [ ] Re: Vitamins It is a free sample + $15.00 shipping and handling for Body Balance...not free after all!
