Guest guest
Hi Les I used to shop at Ambrosia Natural Foods at Yonge and Steeles in Toronto. They also have another store in Newmarket on Yonge St. which would be a lot closer to you. I haven't been to this store but I would imagine they have the same great selection of vitamins and organic foods as the other one. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Its funny..I have spent most my adult life avoiding what the big pharma has to sell ..in our foods.ect..and now I get rear ended ..in the bush years big company's have had it their way in all areas ,we are in for a big fight...Did you see the stock market numbers fall on the day that the article came out from the WSJ..or combination of the contract loss if you read it carefully it says that most insurance company's will still insist on sending tests to quest anyhow. And I am sure that the powers that be are all invested in this company's stock..I still do not have all my tests either and we have asked over and over for them..in my case I cannot get them myself...Oh if anyone is interested you get get stock market quotes everyday on said company's for free..just think we could have been rich if we were heavily invested prior to Octobers news. Guest guest
I have not heard of " braniums " but my ds went to a DAN doctor and takes GABA, 5-HTP, Cromega, DMG with Folinic acid & B-12, L-Carnosin, along with enzymes to help with his digestion and gas issues. I looked up braniums its an Amway vitamin that is lots of omga in it. omega is good but it also said sweet flavor so if it has added artificial flavor or color it may not be something you want to do. you did not say how old you ds is but from other groups I have seen the Cromega is widely recommended it is a pudding like texture with orange flavor. hth Greta danacrumb wrote: > > my husbands mother bought our son silas some vitamins, and insists they > will help his language, i have never heard of them, they are called > braniums. they have dha in them. i was just curious if anyone has heard > of these? > >

Could anyone tell me with an Autistic child(Asperger's) and an ADHD child ages 12 and 13 respectively would I be better off buying the Super Nu Thera or the Spectrum omplete from kirklandslabs????? I am trying if possible for both of them to take the same vitamin but not if one child won't benefit.....They will also be taking GABA, DMGw/ folic acid and B12, and L-Carnosin as well. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Guest guest
Neither one as they are full of fillers etc. I'd go with as natural as possible. Write me offline and I will share with you a couple options I've found that work and are better than over-the-counter vitamins. Guest guest
Hello Kerry, I know Bee often recommends the Natural Factors brand. Here are some sites you can explore for Natural Factors vitamins that have discounted prices. Guest guest
The recommended daily value for B6 is 2mg. I think B6 is one of the water soluable ones, so getting extra can't hurt (unlike some of the fat soluable vitamins). Sue C. <snip> It says > it has 50% of daily intake necessary of Vitamin B6. So how do you find out > how many mg that is?
Guest guest
Our neurologist said it's possible to get too much B6 even though it is water soluble. When you get too much you get neuropathy and a couple other things that I forgot (darn it). They're totally reversible so you just discontinue the B6 and everything goes back to normal which is a good thing. He said as long as I stay under 100 mg for my 130 lb son it's ok. He said he'd recommend it to help reduce some of the autism symptoms. Ginger
Guest guest
It can make some children hyperactive. But many kids with autism are dificient in the B vitamins. I have my daughter on Brainchild Spectrum Support that has 10 mg but she needs it. Other supplements have about 25 mg which would be too much for my daughter. Most supplements have you start at 1/8 dose and slowly work your way up. If hyperactivity or any other negative symptoms show up, go back down to the lower dose.
