Guest guest
Yes, thanks about the drops from me, too. The pollen is driving Garrett nuts, so I had to suck it up and give him allergy meds, even though he's going to turn into an oppositional hateful mean little monster with suicidal depression within a few days. (Acceptance - that will be my chore next week. Acceptance! Love the mean little - uh - anyway . Mostly kidding - you guys know it's mostly just sarcasm and venting I hope. Because I hate to see him miserable like that too.) But as soon as whatever is blooming finishes this bloom, we'll stop and see if he reacts to the next onslaught. Pray for rain! I think we need to retry Singulair, even though I've never seen it help before, so has anyone w/kids who turn into Dr Jekyl on zyrtec or allegra and on even grumpy on little ol' mild claritin had good allergy benefits w/singulair alone? I couldn't see it help with either kid before, and I couldn't tell if it was making them irritable at the time either, so I gave it up after a few months (copays were also too high). I also don't see Dr G prescribe that much - does he for any of you? Has he ever said why he doesn't use it (if he actually doesn't - I dunno anymore)? (Dr it's not that I don't trust you - it's just curiousity about different opinions - I swear! )  Thanks! ________________________________ From: chocolatiluv <chocolatiluv@...> Sent: Sun, March 20, 2011 10:42:51 PM Subject: Re: Bloodshot Eyes  > > Carole, > > Could the redness in his eyes be from him pressing on them? Guest guest
No I sure haven't (mainly because it always makes me so edgy), but that may be worth a shot... Guest guest
We never used antihistamines. Made both of us crazy. Instead we used Opcon A eye drops and a nasal spray like Beconase, Flonase, Nasalnex etc. They also help take care of other allergy issues. Guest guest
We just used it when it was allergy season usually when we remembered to do it. I'm not organized enough to worry if it was am or pm. Best, Marcia
