I would love to hear any feedback on this subject as well.  I have not broached

it yet with Dr. G.

I live in Dallas...and several folks in my network (outside of the

protocol) are using it with some good results.  One mom with a child that is

older (early 20s)  is noting that it really makes him feel better-- and is

helping him with seasonal allergies.   He is requesting it.

If you read the material backing it up...it appears to be very aligned with the

protocol--albeit a supplement.

What does Dr. G have to say about the product neuroprotek? The website can

I’d love to know this too; I think I’ll email Laurie and ask her to ask Dr.

G b/c we’ve now been through 3 antihistimines and my son can’t tolerate them

(and Dr. G agreed to stop them all), so I was thinking of trying quercetin again

b/c he needs something. The only issue with quercetin or anything that has it

in it (e.g., neuroprotek) is that you have to be careful b/c it may inhibit or

increase absorption of other meds metabolized by the p450 system in the liver

(depending on the drugs used).

Just fyi….

Riks/Side Effects

The NeuroProtek® formulation will be covered by a Certificate of Free Sale from

the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This certification ensures the amount,

purity, source and manufacturing of the ingredients are in a facility inspected

by the FDA and fulfilling Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). There are no side

effects known; however, this formulation (as well as any flavonoids) must be

used with caution with drugs that are heavily metabolized by the liver as it may

affect the resulting blood levels of such compounds.

I recall my husband telling me to be careful of quercetin last year b/c we were

also giving my son Pentasa and when given with quercetin (he’s a pharmacist,

so he recalled this info.) the blood levels of quercetin or pentasa are

affected.

I’ll post if I get an answer or ask at our next appt next week.

I bought this product for my child and it made her real sick, so I quit given it
