Guest guest
I asked this very question of Dr. G. He believes a food should be eliminated if it sets off the immune system. Also, regarding the sores in your child's mouth, it's could be a good thing. My sister's three-year-old daughter had this issue a few weeks ago. She took her to the doctor and they didn't think it was gingivostomatitis (although I did) because she had no white blisters. Turned out it was. Poor baby's gums were swollen and sore and she had white blisters in her mouth and on her lip. Gingivostomatitis is caused by HSV. It could be the Valtrex is challenging the virus. It can take up to three weeks for this to go away, according to what I read. That being said, call the doc if you're worried!!! Guest guest
Thank you, Robin! The dr said he didn’t know what it was but that it looked like it was healing. This is the 2nd mouth sore since taking Valtrex. The 1st one was a while blister on the lower inside of his lip. I have to believe there is some connection as he has NEVER had any issues like this before taking valtrex...
