Guest guest
Ola, one of my speculations, although the beautiful lemon is acidic in taste,ie sour BUT it is high alkaline fruit. So maybe your tummy is getting a good yet uncomfy detox??? Dunno really but speculating here for sure BiancaConnected by DROID on Verizon Wireless OT: Lemon power Hi Jim et al,I recently got all excited about the article on lemons and how very useful their rind and pulp is as well as the juice. Every day for a week or so, instead of squeezing 1/4 lemon into my tall mug of distilled water, I now liquify a quarter of an organic lemon: rind and all and enjoy its refreshing, bracing taste. There's just one problem: I seem to be having surprising amounts of gastric bloat! What's going on? I'm assuming that this is probably a good thing, but it's uncomfortable and distracting with frequent runs to the loo, and I'm wondering whether this is a herx or a major adjustment in my GI tract, as far as its flora and fauna are being affected. I'm not sure whether I should back off of just wait things out. Any suggestions, speculations, experiences? Thanks!Be well,Léna
Guest guest
Hi Bianca,Yes, the article speaks of the alkalinity, and I'd already done daily lemon juice as one of my alkalizers. The whole rind really pack a punch! It must be making the acid-loving pathogens even more uncomfortable than my gut they're inhabiting. It's just that when my innards rumble or bubble, it alarms my dog, who barks, thinking someone's at the door. He's a sweet Maltese but not all that bright.Be well,Léna Ola, one of my speculations, although the beautiful lemon is acidic in taste,ie sour <ic_list_lips_sealed.png> BUT it is high alkaline fruit. Guest guest
thanks lena,my son-in-law just told me his mom has cancer in her back and a mass in her small intestines. so sent it to him. also, sister has a friend with cancer. wasn't aware that it did all that. looks like it has lots of benefits, and hopefully a laxative effect for me. i've been using 8,000 mg of vit c a day to help, takes that much. so taking the lemon, vit c., can help reduce those pills. by putting in freezer i can buy org. in bulk when i go into seattle. thanks barbara Hi Barbara,Sure!
