I understand that deep-tissue massage is contra-indicated for LD. But I would think that gentle massage (like Swedish massage) or lymphatic massage might be very beneficial. I believe Shiatsu is a deep-tissue massage, but I'm not sure. The type done by sports trainers is often deep-tissue massage. Anything that makes you moan in pain is probably deep-tissue, although any pressure on a tight muscle can cause pain. Reiki or polarity therapy (hands-on healing with no pressure) might be more beneficial for us than most massage, and you can learn to do Reiki on yourself.
