Guest guest
Are there any clinical trials or research (recorded) that is being done on the approach? I worry that if anything happened to Dr. Goldberg that much of the knowledge would not be replicated by other doctors. Good things do happen to good people and he is no exception. If there are too few doctors being trained or schools that are teaching the approach, because of lack of research, children of the future will suffer. Guest guest
Clinical research takes millions of dollars and often many years for one study to be completed. I don¹t want to wait for research when there are things we can do now to help. It would be great to do it if someone had access to unlimited funds. If you look at the CFS stuff that has went on and the beginning of AIDs it¹s a tough battle and only when the blood supply was threatened did they actually take notice of AIDS. Waiting to see what is going to be done with XMRV and the blood supply. The medical community needs a big paradigm shift in their thinking (ie you cannot treat virus¹, yeast is no big deal and we all have it in our bodies) and also have to be open to the fact that what they are calling Autism is not a psychological disorder and is a medical disease process. That is going to take a huge undertaking of us parents talking to everyone in our communities specifically to the medical community - to get them to understand. One of the reasons to call it and get a ICD-9 code to treat it medically instead of Autism because Pharma needs the psychological diagnosis to keep pushing their antipsychotics to this market that is growing larger and larger and they can only see $$. I think this is one of the reasons that he has chosen to write the book and I think we, the parents/patients need to hand it out to doctors that see our kids all the time someone¹s gotta start screaming at the medical community who have ignored our children¹s health issues and have chalked it up to ŒAutism¹ and for our children and their families to learn to live with it. Why it¹s okay for kids diagnosed with Autism to be suffering and in pain and NOT treat medical issues I have no idea.
