Guest guest
Hello all; Back in the days before I discovered ER, I was slogging through hundreds of experiments trying to figure out which food caused which of my symptoms. Corn was causing my cystic acne. Hooray! No more cystic acne (after 10 years) Dairy was causing my ear infections. Hooray no more of that. Wheat was making me irritable, angry and bloated. Having identified these things...when I opened ER and saw that the exact things I already knew about were AVOIDS-- I nearly jumped for joy. Finally, reason arises out of chaos. Anyway, I've been trying to stick to the diet since about July. Some weeks are better than others. Thing is-- I still have very bloodshot eyes. Does anyone else have this problem (or better yet, used to but cleared it up somehow?) PS I get plenty of sleep! Guest guest
Try taking silica - it's FANTASTIC for almost every eye problem! Guest guest
Do you think it would help floaters? The eye doctor said the vitrous gel had come loose. What a nuisance looking around the spots. I was petrified when I first got the symptoms (though brain tumor, etc.) I guess very near sighted people over 50 tend to get them. I am both. I thought about the silica for weak nails. Guest guest
Hi Noel, I don't think it will help floaters. But they will fade in time. i had a torn retina a few years ago and it was as if someone dropped a bottle of ink in there and I had many floaters after that - had surgery to repair the tear. In the beginning they were very annoying but as time wnet on I noticed them less and less - i am told they are still there and if I concentrate against a white background I can see them. The brain just learns to filter them out.So relax and try to ignore them...just one of the joys of getting older. Ann RE: Bloodshot Eyes Do you think it would help floaters? Guest guest
Could there be air irritanta involved? Perfume, air freshener, dryer sheets, laundry rinse smell on clothes, or anything that smells. All these smelly things they have today are just another poison we are exposed to. I do not suspect any supplements are causing this because I have not had any changes in my protocol in many months. I have been on Recup for almost two years. For example, some people do not do well with papain/bromelain, so if you use an enzyme containing those ingredients, try one that doesn't. Guest guest
I was just reading that bloodshot eyes could be inflammation. I thought that was interesting because my daughter, who is only 5 1/2 has blood shot eyes and I know she has a lot of inflammation. Guest guest
Usually that's an infection or allergies. Pollen is exploding everywhere... I'd see a pediatrician to be sure, if you don't want to try allergy meds first... Also a saline rinse could be helpful. ________________________________ From: chocolatiluv <chocolatiluv@...> Sent: Sat, March 19, 2011 9:31:50 AM Subject: Bloodshot Eyes  I tried to post this earlier didn`t go thouugh. Guest guest
Could it be allergies? We're on the East Coast and I've had a miserable few days. My daughter has been rubbing her eyes tons and I practically have to sit on her hands to stop her. Does your grandson take anything for allergies? It may be allergies but he isn`t rubbing his eyes.He is on allegra,, benedryl p.m. & Astelin for allergies now.. I read about Uveitis(Eye inflamation) can be caused from autoimmune eye problem in which the body tissues are attacked by its own immune system.Pretty scary I need to stop researching. Praying the redness will leave & all will be good>His Mom is taking him to Urgent Care tomorrow if there is no change hopefully they can tell if there is an infection. We don`t trust many doctors in this area. Thanks Carole >
Guest guest
Carole, Could the redness in his eyes be from him pressing on them? For many, it is the start of allergy season. For myself when I get itchy eyes from allergies, I use Opcon-A eye drops from Bausch and Lomb. It used to be prescription but isn't any more and is available at most drug stores. Great stuff that takes care of any problem right away. Best, Marcia
