Guest guest
I too have terrible pain. I am now off all meds, due to allergic reaction to triliptl and ultram. I still take percoset, 1 at night and 50 mg of amnitryptolene, because I don't sleep. I have arthritis, osteoporosis fractures of the spine and at least one herniated disc at t7-8. I am in a collar when I walk or go in the car, I feel like I am burning from the bone up to the skin in my arms and legs, back and checst. When I was on lyrica, I was having se vere pains going into my chest which took my breath away. I was having them on a regular basis. The tryleptal helped and so did the ultram until I broke out in a full body rash snf then developed 103 te for two weeks! I was tyaken off all pain medsx, put on 40 mg of prednizone, and levaquin. Now I am still off the pain pills, finished the prednizone and levaquin, am in pain all the time, had an emg (upper) will have another, lower on the 24th, and go to neurologist today to see what they say. Dr. who administered upper said I had nerve damage in neck and some neuropathies. Neurologist will meet with me this pm. Wish me luck. Guest guest
Michele, I can't believe, with all your back and muscle problems, that the Doctor would give you Leviquin as an antibiotic. Leviquin has been known to make peoples tendons literally explode. I've taken it and it made me feel like I was hit by a train, every muscle/joint in my body ached. I have a friend whose pain problems started after taking Leviquin. In the future you might want to stay away from ALL Fluoroquinolone type of anti-biotics(this includes Cipro(ciprofloxacin) or Avelox. This is such a hot topic that there is even a Fluoroquinolone Toxicity Research Foundation in which people tell their horror stories and many many other websited on the issue. I'm sure it does help some people but people who have pain anyway should definately stay away. There are other anti-biotics to use. I had that reaction to Lyrica plus panic attacks. Not good. Good luck, Caitlin Moderator michelemiller02 wrote:When I was on lyrica, Iwas having se vere pains going into my chest which took my breathaway. I was having them on a regular basis. Interesting, I am allergic to most meds. including Penicillin, sulfa, avalon, cipro, ceftin and all related antibiotics. The Z pac does nothing, that is why they give me levaquin. If I can't take all these, what others can I take that will work? Thanks. Michele PS. My liver enzymes are off the chart and my sugar was elevated on last bloods so doc has also taken me off most vites and supplements. I am going to see a bio feedback doc tomorrow evening. Neurologist is afraid to put me on anything.
