Hey Terri, we switched to Famvir and saw gains...it was very helpful for my

daughter.

Thank Jen~ did you have any die-offs with Famvir?  We didn't have much of

die-off with Valtrex.

Yes, My son did have side effect. He was on Valtrex for 10 months and

his kidney function was perfect. But He just started  Famvir about a month,

his Creanitine level had gone up to two times more than normal range. Finally he

has to back out. At last,His creanitine level has come down to normal again. He

needs to adjust his dosage, basically.

I do not want to scare parents in this group. I feel I need to share with you.

Each child is unique, She /he might respond it differently.
