The discussion about dry eye and plugs is very interesting. I've had some

eye problems, mostly eye strain (on the computer all day) and bad night

vision (blurriness/halos around lights).

I don't know if I have dry eye or not, how can you tell? I started using

artificial tears several times a day, which feels good for a little while

but I'm not sure if I need it or not. How do you tell if you have dry eye?

If I whip through the mall in my wheelchair (if you don't like the way I

drive, shop somewhere else :o) my eyes get really dry because of the wind.

Otherwise,... well, I don't know. I can't wear contacts because they drive

me nuts, maybe because my eyes are dry? No doctors have really said to me,

" whoa dude, your eyes are like way dry! " .

On the plugs - I don't understand how this works ... if the tear duct is

plugged, wouldn't you have *less* tears? Or does the plug force the tears

inward to the eye through osmosis or something? It sounds like those of you

who've had the plugs liked them.
