Changing from Valtrex to Famvir tomorrow

I have been scouring the internet on side effects of Famvir vs. Valtrex--it

seems like they are relatively similiar

We are switching tomorrow after being on valtrex for about 15 months.   We had

relatively no side effects on Valtrex--and only saw gains. However, we seeing

some of my sons bad behaviors reemerge (pushing, aggressive)....so I know it is

time to switch.   Additionally, he is getting cold sores--which he never had

previously.

Has anyone else had the good experience on Valtrex--and then switched to Famvir

with negative results?  I am very anxious about this change.  

Any insights you can give me with the switch would be greatly appreciated!!
