It's official, reservations made, Greg and I are going to Hawaii

on April 27th to May 6t!!:) Anyone been to Maui? We are staying

on Maui because my mom's friend is letting us rent her condo

there. Its ocean front.... walks right on the beach from the

patio. I'm so excited!!:) To anyone that's been there....Is

there a " must-do " or " must see " or " must eat at " on that island?

Hi Jen,

My dad took me to Hawaii for college graduation. We hit 3 islands including

Maui. Maui is a giant goilf course. :-) I don't remember anything to point

out. We did parasailing - pretty sure you're not up for that (pun intended.

:-) We also did the tourist thing and went to this pineapple plantation for a

tour and bbq. Again, your vegetarian status would make that hard to swallow.

(damn I did it again :) ). I hope you have a great time.

When I was in Hawaii it was on a cruise that visited several islands. For

me the highlight was the helicopter ride--save your $$, it is expensive, but

it is awesome; and I went scuba diving. This was neat, and my favorite part

of the trip, for a person that cannot stand up even at the edge of the

ocean; they gave me a lifebelt, and the Crew was just as helpful and polite

as could be; felt so good to be in the water and not fighting to stand up;

and of course the scenery and the fish were just beautiful. I bet they

could get you to do it! Marie

I want to add, what Jen said about snorkeling being so great is because I

DIDNT have to get in the water as usual; for example, prior to snorkeling, I

was standing in water below my knees; fell over; tried to get up to no

avail, ended up crawling out of the water, and facing a lifeguard who was

concerned I was having a seizure or something! But when I went snorkeling,

my feet never touched the bottom! I had a lifebelt on, kept me buoyant, I

went right off the back of the boat; I felt like a " normal " person! Hey

Jen, I say go for it!! Do all you can do! Joanie, you wre wise! I'd like

to hear about your trip, Marie
